‘Now a Kidman’ Lee Joo-hyung hits first home run in pro debut against parent team LG

Lee Ju-hyung, 22, who was traded from the LG Twins to the Kiwoom Heroes, hit a grand slam in his professional debut against his hometown team.

Lee Ju-hyung started in the middle of the lineup as the No. 5 hitter in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against LG at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Wednesday and hit a home run in his first at-bat.

With the bases loaded in the top of the first inning and his team leading 1-0, Lee took a one-ball, one-strike changeup from LG starter Casey Kelly for a two-run shot over the right field fence.

It was Lee’s first home run in just his 52nd KBO game since joining LG with the 13th pick in the second round of the 2020 Rookie Draft.먹튀검증

Coincidentally, Lee struck against his hometown team.

On July 29, Kiwoom traded pitcher Choi Won-tae to LG in exchange for Lee Joo-hyung, Kim Dong-gyu, and a first-round pick in the 2024 rookie draft. Lee has since established himself as the starting outfielder and made an immediate impact with a home run in his fifth game with the club.

Kiwoom leads LG 3-1 at the end of the first inning.
