Jurgen Klinsmann (59), coach of the Korean national team, will return to Korea on the 26th after a business trip to Europe.

The Korea Football Association announced on the 24th that “Coach Klinsman will arrive at Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 26th.” Director Klinsman will conduct a brief interview at this meeting.

In front of coach Klinsman, European players also performed well. Son Heung-min scored his 101st personal goal in the English Premier League (EPL) in a match against Bournemouth on the 15th. In the previous match against Brighton & Hove Albio, he was the 34th player ever and the first Asian player to score the 100th goal. Oh Hyun-kyu also received praise from coach Klinsman and his team coach Anje Posteglu for his good play against Kilmarnock on the 16th.

In addition, coach Klinsman also met and talked with ‘key defender’ Kim Min-jae, who recently expressed mental and physical difficulties. A sincere conversation with coach Klinsman seems to have been a great help to Kim Min-jae. Afterwards, coach Klinsmann headed to Germany to watch the match between Lee Jae-seong and Jung Woo-young. In the meeting with Jung Woo-young, former German national team coach Yoham Löw was also present.

During the trip to Europe, coach Klinsmann advised, “I want to encourage young players to come to Europe, challenge themselves, and see where they go with their best.”

Coach Klinsman plans to check the domestic players during the K-League schedule after his return to Korea. On May 7, he will travel to Qatar to attend the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup draw ceremony.
