The Korea Volleyball Association has announced the 2023 Korean Men’s National Team, which will compete at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games and other international events in 2023.
The 2023 Korean Men’s 스포츠토토Volleyball Team will compete in international men’s volleyball competitions, starting with the 2023 AVC Challenger Men’s Volleyball Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan in early July and ending with the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in late September.
A total of 17 players have been selected for the Korea Men’s National Volleyball Team 2023. The team has been training at the Jincheon Athletes’ Village in Chungcheongbuk-do since July 1.

Hwang Taek-ui (Armed Forces Athletic Corps) and Kim Myung-kwan (Hyundai Capital) are leading the setters, while Park Kyung-min (Hyundai Capital) and Oh Jae-sung (Woori Card) are responsible for the libero positions.
Na Kyung-bok (KB Insurance), Jeong Ji-seok (Korean Air), Hwang Kyung-min (KB Insurance), Lim Sung-jin (KEPCO), Kim Ji-han (Woori Card), and Jeong Jung-yong (Korean Air) were selected as outside hitters, while Heo Soo-bong (Hyundai Capital) and Lim Dong-hyuk (Korean Air) were selected as opposites. Kim Gyu-min and Kim Min-jae (Korean Air), Park Joon-hyuk and Lee Sang-hyun (Woori Card), and Kim Jun-woo (Samsung Fire) joined the middle blockers.
The addition of Jeong Ji-seok is notable. In 2021, Jeong was accused by his ex-girlfriend, A, of assault and illegal filming. He later settled with the accuser and received a deferred prosecution from the prosecution.
As a result, on May 6, last year, he was suspended for one year from the Korean Volleyball Association’s representative player enhancement training. He was also fined 5 million won by the Korea Volleyball Organization (KOVO) and suspended by Korean Air for the remainder of the second round of the regular season.
